I was not stuck on getting a 40 S&W and was teetering between the Beretta and a Ruger P345 in 45ACP.
After handling both of them, I went with the Beretta mainly because it was more compact and I liked the way it fit my hand better.

Does anyone besides me own and LIKE the beretta 9000s? Its a great gun and I love the way it shoots (40 cal) and fits. I've read a few reviews on the pistol and they are always negative. Mostly about the fat grip and design. If you have owned or handled one, let me know how you like or don't like it.
