The Beretta APX is a striker-fired (SA), recoil-operated, semi automatic pistol designed by Beretta, the world’s oldest active firearms manufacturing company from Italy. The APX model is Beretta’s first full-size, striker-fired, polymer-framed pistol. The pistol was introduced in 2017 and it quickly became popular mainly among those who are looking for as much tacticality as possible. The Beretta APX represents Beretta's first striker-fired duty-sized handgun. The name APX refers to "Advanced Pistol X" (the "X" referring to a caliber of choice), as the firearm is fully modular and can change calibers and frame sizes somewhat easily.

The Beretta APX comes chambered for either the 9x19mm Parabellum or .40 S&W cartridge. The Beretta APX features a double stack magazine that takes in 15+1 rounds of the .40 S&W and 17+1 rounds of the 9mm caliber. This amount of ammo is more than sufficient for both self-defense as well as some range fun. However, thanks to the tactical possibilities this pistol boasts, the pistol is also a favorite choice among many law enforcement agencies around the world.
The overall length of the Beretta APX is 7.56 inches and the pistol’s barrel is 4.25’’. Based on these specs, the APX model is considered a full-size handgun. This, however, doesn’t mean that its concealment isn’t possible. If the pistol is paired with a well-fitting Beretta APX holster, it can become the carry gun of choice even in the states with strict CCW laws.
Just like mentioned before, the APX model is highly tactical. The pistol includes features such as aggressive slide serrations, interchangeable back-straps, accessory rail, full length slide serrations, reversible magazine release and ambidextrous slide catches. All of these features allow the user to modify the pistol and attach various tactical gadgets to it.
